Downloading eBooks and Resource Cards
If you’re having trouble downloading your eBook or Resource Cards, review the following tips. Most issues are related to browser settings, device permissions, or internet connection — not the download link itself.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Check Your Download Link
After purchasing via PayPal, your download link should appear on the confirmation screen. You may also receive it by email (check your spam or junk folder), or in your PayPal receipt.
2. Verify Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is necessary to download files successfully.
3. Disable Pop-Up Blockers
Pop-up blockers may prevent the download window from appearing. Enable pop-ups for freedomexpress16.org in your browser settings.
4. Check Device Storage
Ensure your device has at least 10 MB of free space available to complete the download.
5. Device-Specific Tips
- Apple Devices (iPhone/iPad):
- Use Safari instead of third-party browsers.
- If the file opens in a preview window, tap ‘Share’ > ‘Save to Files’.
- Check the Files app > Downloads or your iCloud Drive.
- Windows (Desktop):
- Right-click the download link and select ‘Save link as…’.
- Temporarily disable antivirus software or extensions that may block downloads.
- Check browser settings to ensure file downloads are allowed.
- Samsung/Android Devices:
- Use Chrome for best compatibility.
- Check the ‘My Files’ or ‘Downloads’ app for saved files.
- Install a file viewer or unzip app if the file doesn’t open.
6. Locate the Downloaded File
- Apple: Files app > Downloads; use Safari’s share feature if previewed.
- Windows: C:\Users\[Your Name]\Downloads; open with Adobe Acrobat.
- Samsung: My Files > Downloads; open with Google PDF Viewer or similar.
7. Install a PDF Reader
Install Apple Books, Adobe Acrobat, or Google PDF Viewer if your device can’t open the file.
8. Allow Downloads in Settings
- Apple (iOS): Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions
- Windows: Site Settings > Automatic Downloads; check antivirus settings
- Samsung: Settings > Sites and downloads > Enable downloads
9. Try a Different Browser
Try Firefox, Edge, or Opera if you’re having trouble with your current browser.
10. Clear Browser Cache
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then retry the download.
