“As a lay counselor I have received various forms of inner healing/deliverance training, attended seminars, read countless books and listened to numerous podcasts, YouTube clips and sermons that have empowered me in my ministry to hurting women.
While I have many tools in my ministry toolbox, none has been as streamlined and effective as The Value Exchange.
I tend to shy away from formulaic ministry approaches; however, I have found that The Value Exchange offers such flexibility that is has become a multi-use tool. No matter the depth of a person’s strongholds or wounding, this has been my go-to instrument for healing.
As I primarily work with women in addiction, I find this approach directly addresses breaking the power of addiction, idolatry and self-sabotage. It aids in breaking the power of ungodly soul ties and generational curses/sin patterns.
The Value Exchange is especially helpful in working through incapacitating trauma while not re-visiting the paralyzing events until after healing has taken place.
I always tell the women I sit with that my goal is to work myself out of a job by empowering and teaching them this tool so that they can apply it personally and share it with others. It has become the gift that keeps on giving.
It must also be stated that before I began to utilize this concept in ministry, I first applied it to myself and have found deep freedom and healing as a result.
Intimate struggles that I assumed were my “thorn in the flesh” have been dismissed as I came out of agreement with powerlessness, shame and rejection. As God continues to refine me, I am brought to repentance and freedom every time I revisit these principles.
I am deeply grateful for the time taken to put these concepts into written format for others to utilize in their personal lives as well as in ministry. Kati Schmucker, Director of Biblical Counseling at SPA Women’s Ministry Homes, Inc.”
